LOTO operations.
Lockout boxes are a vital ingredient to any successful lockout/tagout (LOTO) program. LOTO is a safety communication system that uses locks to physically prevent workers from turning on machines while they are undergoing repairs or maintenance and tags to communicate why the machines need to remain turned off. LOTO protects workers when they’re at their most vulnerable. Some of the most catastrophic injuries occur when a machine is unknowingly turned on during maintenance. LOTO is very effective in deterring these accidents, but only when the locks and tags are available and easy to locate, and that’s where lockout boxes come in.
Lockout boxes help manage locks and tags so that they can be used properly. These tools are an easy way to maintain and organize locks and keys.
